  • 1.0 out of 5 stars from Jessica Raczkowski -- Great concept, poor quality : Really wanted to like this adult coloring book, but poor construction has left me quite frustrated. The paper rag content is quite low and my color pens bled through not only the other side, but they even bled onto the next page! Since the publishers decided to save money by printing on every sheet, there's a whole 2 page spread ruined. I thought it might be my new markers, but tried them on a different coloring book with zero bleed. Add this to the fact that illustrations go right through the seam and it makes coloring difficult. There are no perforations so you cannot cleanly remove pages; binding is like a normal book. Some of the illustrations are nice, but if you want to use pens and not colored pencils, you will be sorely disappointed. ( Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2017 )
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars from J. L. Yates -- Picky hubby very happy : This is four of four books I bought for hubby who is recovering from shoulder surgery. Was able to take the sling off and I knew he needed something to do to keep him from damaging his shoulder. He has enjoyed the coloring of the cities, is working on one with the sun behind skyscrapers. I asked him his opinion and was surprised at how pleases he is, he is usually quite fussy about such activities. He complained non-stop about a couple of similar crafts I bought for him. Fortunately, we had three boxes of coloring/watercoloring pencils besides the one I bought so he has a good selection of colors. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2015 )
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Beautiful, interesting : Beautiful, interesting, fun pictures I'd love to color with my Copic Sketch Markers. However they make the unthinking mistake of printing on both sides of the paper so you can only color one page and the other is ruined due to bleed through. I have the entire Prismacolor colored pencil set, plus sets by Derwent. Some pictures lend themselves to colored pencils, but some pictures have too much white space, outlines that are too dark to work with pencils, etc. This line of coloring books fall into that category. It would take a lifetime to complete with colored pencils and the outlines are so dark it would just eat up your pencils and not have the quality a sketch marker would produce. Would be a great series, love the pictures, but hate to lose half off the book because the author couldn't print on one side of paper only. ( Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2015 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from N. Maggio -- Like a big kid! We love it! : I have to say coloring was one of my favorite past times and this totally had brought that to a new level. This book has some many cool pictures that when brought to life with what ever color choices you choose are simply exciting. I can sit for hours and color and sometimes have lots track of time. My wife who laughed when I told her I bought a coloring book now sits down and colors one side of the page while I color the other. Its become a total blast for us both and is very relaxing. • 2.0 out of 5 stars from Nikkers -- Pretty Basic : While better than flowers or whatnot, I couldn't engage with this book. After "Fantastic Cities" by Michael McDonald, very few cityscape coloring books give the same challenge, including this one. It might be great for People new to architectural coloring (as opposed to common Mandalay and flower themes). ( Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2017 )
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars from Lilee F. -- Not my favorite coloring book : This book has some nice pictures, but I should have paid more attention to the part of the description that says "some real, some imagined." I must have stopped reading after "the most splendid cities in the world." I was hoping to color pages of recognizable landmarks but most of these definitely fall in the "imagined" category. Just be sure to use the "Look inside" function to see if this is your cup of tea. As mentioned in other reviews, each drawing is spread across two pages and it's next to impossible to color all the way into the seam. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2015 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Laurene Farino-Becker -- Like the Paris coloring book : Like the Paris coloring book, I look forward to finding the time to enjoy this adult coloring book. I have already purchased several sets of new, beautiful color/rainbow pencils and will try and make the pages of this book beautiful. One suggestion, however, the author of these books should put on the bottom of the page exactly where these pictures were taken and the name of the buildings and monuments. That would make it both enjoyable and a learning experience. ( Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2015 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Gayle McDonald -- Fun! : This is a fun coloring book with lots of small and large areas to color. Some of the cities are fantasy and some are renditions of actual cities; there are pages in the back that identify them. I use pencils rather than crayons in this book. This is my first adult coloring book and I find it very relaxing and a relief from kid's coloring books, which are not very challenging for an adult colorer. The images shown in the product description are indicative of the types of coloring projects in the book. Enjoy! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2015 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Emily -- Great Colouring Book For All Ages : Something different from the Enchanted Forest and Secret Garden range. Nice paper which I use Faber Castell Pitt Artist pens which don't bleed through. Pictures are fun and not at all childish so this should appeal to most age groups. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from danathediva1 -- Five Stars : Fab product! Bought it as a gift now I need to get the crayons ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 9, 2015 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Jamie -- Calming : Some people knit, some people build tiny boats in bottles, but coloring is my jam. You can lose hours just coloring. Using Crayola super washable markers on the pages, they were perfectly fine with limited leakage to the next page. The patterns of cities change from large simple drawings, to more intricate pieces, but enough variety to keep me interested. ( Reviewed in Canada on June 18, 2015 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from 123CKC -- Fantastic and expansive selection : Fantastic and expansive selection. The perfect balance of difficulty and design. I was looking for a colouring book that wasn't gonna take me 100 hours per page to colour and this was the perfect decision. The designs are simple enough that you could actually finish them in a night. That's enjoyable I think. Hate going back to the same really intricate design for weeks. With this book, you get beautiful and varied designs, all simple enough not to make your head spin. Also, did I mention how many pages this is? It's all around a great colouring book! • 2.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Kind of meh imagery : Unfortunately, I realized when I got this book that I really really didn't like most of the images... ultimately it's sat fairly unused on a shelf as a result. On the plus side, if you do like the images, the paper is nice and thick and strong - you can use markers and there will be no or only minimal bleeding through the pages.
